At the 25th Plenary Session of AFCAC held in Cairo from 06-11 / 12/2015.
 a decision has been made for using Arabic as a working language alongside with English and French.

·         The 57th Meeting of the Committee of Ministers of ASECNA, held July 29th, 2015 at the International Center of Conferences in Nouakchott. The opening ceremony of the meeting was chaired by Mr Yahya Ould Hademine, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. The work of the meeting was chaired by Mr. Isselkou Ould AHMED IZIDBIH Minister of Equipment and Transport of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania who will chair the committee until the next statutory meetings.

The Director of the National Agency of Civil Aviation and a large delegation of the Agency include Air Transport Director and Safety of Air Navigation Director participated in 25th work Plenary Session of the African Commission of Civil Aviation held in Cairo from 08-10 December 2015. Mauritania currently holds the position of Vice President for North Africa that includes Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco. Whereas Mauritania on the ICAO scale ranks first in Africa in the field of civil aviation security, Mauritania participated actively in the different work groups.

On the evening of the statutory meetings, the Minister of Equipment and Transport, Mr. Isselkou OULD AHMED IZIDBIH accompanied by the Director General of ASECNA, Amadou Ousmane GUITTEYE, the Director General of ANAC and the Director General of SAM performed the inauguration:

·         Technical block and a control tower, a synoptic weather observation station and its access roads, new means of VHF and VSAT Mini CAT communication and fire fighting vehicles in Nouadhibou.

 ·         Building the Power Plant and the Regional Control Centre (RCC) International Airport OUMTOUNSY Nouakchott.

 In addition to these inaugurations was taken in Nouadhibou. the realization of this unite that consists of fire station, training area, and drilling is the cornerstone of safety.

In addition to these statutory meetings, Ministers, Directors and experts ASECNA member countries visited the new OUMTOUNSY Nouakchott airport which is a new model of public private partnership.

Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim Ahmed Cherif, the director general of the Arab Civil Aviation  arrived in Nouakchott on Sunday, 8th November 2015. For two days visit, he met Mr.  Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Bouassriya, the Director General of the National Agency of Civil Aviation. During the talks both parties expressed  various aspects of mutual cooperation and  the different  ways of enhancing it.

·         The 129th meeting of the Board of ASECNA, held on 26th and 27th July 2015 at the Conference Hall of  Mauricentre hotel. In preparation for this session of the Board of Directors of  ASECNA held from July 24th to 25th meetings of the Markets Committee, the Commission and the Council of the Commission for Security.

·         The expert meeting of Ministers of ASECNA held July 28, 2015.
