Launch of the Training on Screening Inspection

December 16, 2024, marked the beginning of the training on screening inspection, organized by CRASAC in collaboration with the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). This training, scheduled to run until December 20, 2024, is designed for law enforcement personnel to enhance their skills in screening and monitoring activities within sensitive areas of civil aviation.

The primary objectives of this training are to:

  • Equip participants with advanced screening inspection techniques.
  • Raise awareness of national and international security regulations.
  • Strengthen law enforcement capacities in detecting and preventing potential threats.

The training combines both theoretical and practical approaches, including simulations and case studies, to ensure optimal skill development and application.

This initiative demonstrates the commitment of ANAC and its partners to fostering a secure aviation environment while enhancing the operational capabilities of personnel involved in aviation security.

the Civil Aviation Security Risk Assessment Training

The training on civil aviation security risk assessment, organized by ANAC in collaboration with UEMOA, was concluded by the Director General of ANAC. He chaired the closing ceremony, during which certificates were awarded to the participants.

The training took place from November 4 to 15, 2024, with the goal of enhancing the skills of aviation professionals in identifying, assessing, and managing aviation security risks.

Experts from several UEMOA member countries participated in the session, addressing key topics such as risk assessment methods and international best practices in aviation security.

Through this initiative, ANAC and UEMOA reaffirm their commitment to enhancing civil aviation safety in the region through continuous professional training.

Closing of the Civil Aviation Security Supervisors Training

The Civil Aviation Security Supervisors training, organized by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) in collaboration with the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO), took place from December 2 to December 7, 2024, at the Iman Hotel.

This event brought together participants from various sectors related to aviation security and was enriched by the active involvement of national and international experts. The presence of the Deputy Director General (DGA) of ANAC during the closing ceremony highlighted the strategic importance of this initiative for the aviation sector.

Participants engaged in valuable sessions covering:

  • The responsibilities of supervisors in aviation security.
  • Modern approaches to risk assessment and management.
  • Tools for oversight and continuous improvement in security.
  • Mechanisms for cooperation among various stakeholders.

The training concluded with an official ceremony where participants’ efforts were recognized, and certificates of participation were distributed.

This initiative is part of ANAC's ongoing efforts to strengthen supervisors' capacities and promote an aviation environment aligned with international standards.

The National Civil Aviation Authority enhances the skills of OPS inspectors in collaboration with the International Training Center.

Under the leadership of the Director General of ANAC, a training session for OPS inspectors was held from October 28 to November 14, 2024, in partnership with the International Training Center (ITC). This initiative aimed to enhance inspectors' skills in supervising air operators, thereby ensuring the highest safety standards in our airspace.

The training brought together ANAC inspectors as well as participants from Niger and Togo. Their contributions greatly enriched the discussions and boosted the overall effectiveness of the program.

The closing ceremony, also led by the Director General, featured the presentation of certificates to the participants, recognizing their commitment and success in completing this rigorous program.

Through this initiative, ANAC reaffirms its unwavering commitment to ensuring aviation safety through continuous training and the development of its personnel’s expertise.

Training on Aviation Security Risk Assessment Organized by ANAC in Collaboration with UEMOA in Nouakchott

The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), in collaboration with the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), is conducting a training session on aviation security risk assessment from November 4 to 15, 2024, at the Iman Hotel in Nouakchott. The opening remarks were delivered by Mr. Ahmed ABDALLA, the ANAC’s Director of Administration and Finance, representing the Director General of ANAC.

The objectives of this training are as follows:

  • To establish and maintain risk management capabilities: Strengthening the necessary skills and infrastructure for effective and sustainable risk management.
  • To develop a risk management culture: Promoting awareness and continuous practice of risk assessment within the industry.
  • To foster a standardized approach to assess and manage aviation security risks: Ensuring a coherent regional approach to aviation security among UEMOA member countries.

This training is crucial in building the expertise needed to strengthen the security of the aviation sector in UEMOA member states.
